My Journey - The Turning Point in 2017
In 2017, my world shifted with a single diagnosis. I remember sitting across from a nutritionist who kept trying to ease me into a new diet, one gentle step at a time. But gentle wasn't what I needed. I needed someone to tell me straight: your life, especially your diet, is about to change drastically — and that's okay.
Ten years earlier, I watched my mother go through her own diabetes diagnosis. She tried a program built around fasting and supplements, and for us, it was brutal — we were hungry, depleted, and it didn't work. I know others who found success with similar programs. But it taught me something important: everyone's path looks different, and no one should have to guess their way through it alone.
A diabetes diagnosis often comes out of nowhere. It brings a flood of emotions, questions, and pamphlets — and it's a lot to process at once. That's the gap I built my coaching practice to fill.
Filling the Gap
Most medical advice ends at the pharmacy counter. I coach because the newly diagnosed shouldn't have to navigate the emotional and lifestyle side of this alone. There are plenty of recipe books and reverse-diabetes guides out there — what's missing is a credentialed, caring coach in your corner to make it actually work.
